Obituary for Catherine Eva Schoeppner
Catherine E. Schoeppner, age 89, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born April 5, 1924, in Canton, Ohio, daughter of the late Anthony Nicholas and Cora Matilda Michael Schindler. She was employed as a cafeteria cook at the former Cleveland Graphite Bronze Plant in Caldwell, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Schoeppner was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and its Catholic Women’s Club.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Henry Schoeppner, who died July 17, 1972; one daughter, Judy Ginn; two sisters, Rita Balizet and Cecilia Ambrose; and three granddaughters, Ashley Larrick, Courtney Ginn, and Kristen Campbell.
Surviving are her children, Robert G. (Karen) Schoeppner of Canton, Donna M. (Darrel) Yonker of Belle Valley, Larry A. Schoeppner of Belle Valley, Dale E. Schoeppner of Ava, Ronald L. Schoeppner of Canton and David A. (Nancy) Schoeppner of Canton; two sisters, Lynita Mench of Massillon and Bernadette Gilmore of Massillon; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Monday, January 13, 2014, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a vigil service will begin at 6PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at 10AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda, with Rev. Fr. Chester Pabin as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
