Obituary for Charles E. Henry
Charles E. Henry, age 76, of Dexter City, Ohio, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born June 28, 1936, in Sarahsville, son of the late Walter and Freda King Henry. He was a 1955 graduate of Summerfield High School, and a United States Army veteran of four years, having served in Korea. He retired as a press operator from the former Mahle plant in Caldwell, and he was a member of the Sharon Lodge #136, F&AM. He enjoyed hunting, ginseng hunting with his wife, playing cards, and traveling. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Norma Gaab; and one brother, Paul David Henry. Surviving are his wife, Clara Ruth Henry; his children, Ray E. (Boots) Henry of Summerfield, Delores M. Moore of Cambridge, and Dale R. (Christy) Henry of Zanesville; one sister, Loretta Green of Stockport; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and two on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, March 21, 2013, from 4-8PM at Mcvay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, March 22, 2013, at 1PM with Ken Perkins and Kenny Scott officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Noble County Veteran Services Organizations. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery.
