Obituary for Geneva W. Johnson
Geneva W. Johnson, age 95, of Belle Valley, Ohio, died Monday, November 28, 2011, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born January 18, 1916, in Noble County, daughter of the late McKinley and Blanche Cunningham Johnson. She retired from the meat department at Food Center in Caldwell, working up until her early 80s. She was also formerly employed by Jordan's Clothing and The Fashion Shop in Caldwell. She was a member of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church. Miss Johnson is preceded in death by one sister, Ruth King; one brother, Richard Johnson; and one sister-in-law, Mildred Johnson. Surviving are two sisters, JoAnn (Victor) Bonar of Conesville and Betty Rossiter of Caldwell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special niece, Cheryl Sklenar of Belle Valley, and a special granddaughter, Heather Sklenar of Zanesville. Friends may call Wednesday, November 30, 2011, from 3-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. A brief farewell service will be observed at 8:30PM. A private graveside service will be observed at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell conducted by Pastor Dave Wells.
