Louella Mae Everly, age 74, of Byesville, Ohio, went to be with Jesus Sunday, August 17, 2008, following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded in her home by family and friends. She was born August 6, 1934, in Caldwell, Ohio, daughter of the late Clayton and Velma Marie Dennis Pickenpaugh. She was a 1952 graduate of the former Sarahsville High School and she was a retired employee for Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. Louella was a member of Center Free Methodist Church, Sarahsville, and she was a member of COPERS, a cancer support group. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Irene Warner; and four brothers, Francis, Clarence, Kenneth, and Delmar Pickenpaugh. Surviving are three daughters, Irene (Paul) Hickman and Stella (Trent) Hamilton, both of Pleasant City and Marilyn Everly of Byesville; one son, Fred (Liza) Meighen of Columbus; one sister, Velma Jean Stottsberry; six grandchildren, Keith Hickman, Douglas Hickman, Angela Hickman, Heather Hamilton, Trent 'T.J.' Hamilton, and Amber Robinson; three great-grandchildren, Paige, Kevan, and Keuasha; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday, August 19, 2008, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 20th at 11AM with Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Hoskinsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guernsey County Cancer Society, 927 Wheeling Avenue, Suite 205, Cambridge, Ohio, 43725.
