Obituary for Roy Lewis Mandley
Roy Lewis Mandley, age 75, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, October 29, 2007, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born February 16, 1932, in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Laurence and Gertrude Gibson Mandley. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was retired from Glidden Paints, where he was employed in the quality control department. Mr. Mandley was a member of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church and the Caldwell American Legion Post #252. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn May. Surviving are his wife, Shirley A. Weih Mandley, whom he married November 23, 1979; two daughters, Rose (Jim) McMaster of Lakewood and Roianne Meile of Fairview Park; two sons, Roy Mandley, Jr. of Florida and Larry (Debbie) Mandley of North Ridgeville; two step-sons, Robert (Lynn) Kimmit of North Royalton and Stanley Kimmit of California; three step-daughters, Terry Winters, Deborah (D.J.) Hennings, and Pamela Winters, all of Cleveland; two brothers, Allen (Marge) Mandley of Florida and Bill (Marsha) Mandley of Barnesville; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call Friday, November 2, 2007, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 3 at 11AM at the Caldwell Free Methodist Church with Pastor Dave Wells officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Noble County Veteran Services Organizations. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
