Obituary for Phyllis N. Milligan
Phyllis Narelle Milligan, age 76, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at her home. She was born September 19, 1930, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Clare and Etta Lucille Jennings Heddleson. She was a 1948 graduate of Caldwell High School. She was formerly employed by March Electric as a factory worker and as a cook for the former Belle Valley Middle School. Mrs. Milligan was a faithful member of Ragans Chapel United Methodist Church in Hoskinsville, where she enjoyed singing in the choir for the annual Christmas and Easter programs. She loved reading, gardening, attending the school functions of her children and grandchildren, and being with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Heddleson. Surviving are her husband, Richard Dean Milligan, whom she married August 19, 1949; one son, Terry (Lou Ann) Milligan of Mt. Ephraim; one daughter, Christine (Eddie) Forshey of Caldwell, who shares her mother's birthday; three granddaughters, Chandra Forshey of Cambridge, Jamie (Ryan) Pfeffer of Mt. Ephraim, and Stacey (Joseph) Sands of Racine; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Arick, Abigail Pfeffer, and Kimber Sands; four sisters, Mrs. Andrew (Mary) Hronec and Mrs. Patricia Danford, both of Caldwell, Mrs. Doris Johnson of Youngstown, and Mrs. Elaine Kelley of Amherst; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Arline Lee of North Lawrence and Mrs. Frances Milligan of Caldwell; and many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Friends may call Sunday, September 2, 2007, from 5-9PM and Monday, September 3 from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 4 at 11AM with Pastors Sandra Payette and Joe Wright officiating.
