Obituary for Dorothy Jane Kuntz
Dorothy Jane Kuntz, age 93, of Caldwell, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born November 18, 1921, in Homestead, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Howard F. and Helen Virginia Huston Stuart. She was employed by the former Landaker’s Bakery in Caldwell as a clerk. Mrs. Kuntz was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church, and she was a charter member of the Caldwell VFW Auxiliary Post #4721. She enjoyed working on the ticket committee for Noble County Performing Arts for many years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ira J. Kuntz, whom she married January 12, 1945, and who died September 3, 1973; one granddaughter, Brooke Ann Kuntz; one sister, Esther Adelmia Stuart; one brother, Charles Stuart; and her step-mother, Mildred Stuart.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Marilyn Carrel Kuntz of Dublin; one granddaughter, Jordan Kuntz (David Binkley) of Columbus; one grandson, Garth Kuntz of Powell; one nephew; three nieces; and a special friend who touched her life, Nancy Rudge of Caldwell. The family expresses their gratitude to her for all she did during Dorothy’s long illness.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 15, 2015, from 12PM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow at 2PM. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Dorothy’s name to the CIC Happy Time Pool Fund, c/o Thomasina Crock, 9 Kennedy Drive, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
