Obituary for James J. Wickham
James J. Wickham, age 91, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born June 18, 1923, near Summerfield, Ohio, son of the late James and Hattie King Wickham, Sr. He was formerly employed by Hercules Motors in Canton, and he retired in 1987 from the Ohio Department of Transportation following 40 years of service. Mr. Wickham was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell, and he enjoyed reading and watching television.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Florence, Hazel, Lucy, and Phoebe.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma Marie Feldner Wickham, whom he married in 1947; one daughter, Judy Ann Wickham of the home; two brothers, Leland Wickham of South Zanesville and Ralph Wickham of Columbus; one sister-in-law, Betty June King of McConnelsville; his beloved cat, Freddie; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, April 3, 2015, from 4-7PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. A graveside service will be observed Saturday, April 4th at 11AM at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell with Evangelist Aaron Seiler officiating.
