Obituary for Patricia Ann Steed
Patricia Ann Steed, age 65, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, February 7, 2015, at The Cleveland Clinic. She was born May 17, 1949, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, daughter of Donald Smith of Caldwell and the late Marie Humphrey Smith. She was self-employed, and retired in 1998. She taught Sunday School and served as a junior high youth advisor for several years in North Carolina. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, and she loved being a wife. Everyone knew her as “Nanny.”
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by on brother, Paul Douglas Smith.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Charles J. Steed, whom she married June 28, 1975; five children, Joey (Jimmy) Carsey Freeman of Caldwell, Cyndi J. (Tony) Watson of Denver, Colorado, and Kerri (Jeff) Bond, Jodi Carter, and Lisa (Tim) Stillion, all of Senecaville; one sister, Donna Marie Kress of Caldwell; two brothers, Ronnie (Ruth) Smith of Caldwell and Terry (Kay) Smith of Bethesda; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one aunt; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many beloved friends and people who were impacted by her life.
Friends may call Monday, February 9, 2015, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. The funeral service will be observed Tuesday, February 10th at 11AM at Faith Baptist Church in Belle Valley with Pastor Larry Copley officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville.
