Jerry L. Barlow, age 73, of Dexter City, Ohio, died Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born January 18, 1950, in Marietta, son of the late Harry Leland and Edna Ellen Cobb Barlow. Jerry was a 1969 graduate of Caldwell High School. He owned and operated the Barlow Store in Dexter City for 14 years and was previously employed by Mark Williams Blacktopping in Marietta. He was a member of the Aurelius Lodge #308, F&AM. Jerry enjoyed fishing and he prized his antique tractor. He was devoted to his family: his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Beverly Barlow, Carolyn Barlow, and Judith D. McKown.
Surviving are his wife, Becky S. DeLong Barlow, whom he married April 25, 1970; his children, Paula S. (Robert) Larrick of Caldwell, Peggy L. (Robert) Wise of Sarahsville, and Patsy A. (Jim) Lombardo of Mentor; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul (Mary) Barlow of Dexter City; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved Cavachon puppy, Khloe.
Friends may call Monday, October 30, 2023, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a Masonic service will follow visitation at 8PM. The funeral service will be observed Tuesday, October 31st at 11AM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Dexter City Cemetery.
