Obituary for Marilyn K. "Sis" Kirkbride
Marilyn K. “Sis” Kirkbride, age 79, of Marietta, Ohio, died Friday, November 27, 2020, at Harmar Place in Marietta. She was born November 26, 1941, in Noble County, daughter of the late Clarence and Marguerite McVicker Hague. She was a 1959 graduate of Sarahsville High School, and she retired as a nurse’s aide from Marietta Convalescent Center. She was a member of the Sixth and Washington Church of Christ in Marietta. Sis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was devoted to her family, especially to her husband, Donald.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Kirkbride; and one brother, Howard Hague.
Surviving are her husband, Donald L. “Sonny” Kirkbride, whom she married June 3, 1961; one son, Darren Lee (Jackie) Kirkbride of Beverly; two brothers, Gary (Michelle) Hague and William Randy (Elaine) Hague, all of Marietta; 6 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Thursday, December 3rd at 10AM with Evangelist Roger Rush officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell. Guests are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing at all gatherings as required by the state of Ohio.
