She was born June 16, 1935, in Dudley, daughter of the late Raymond and Cora Lori Lorey. Charlene attended school in Dudley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, her brothers, John (Lorita), Clarence (Marie), twin brother Charles, sister Lucille (Davey) Jones, and brother-in-law Everett Hesson.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Barbara Jean (Rick) DeVolld of Ecuador, Debra (Thomas) Smith of Texas, Mary (Raymond) Rex of Caldwell, Robert (Marcia) Thompson of Sherrodsville, Tom (Denise) Thompson of West Lafayette, and Stephen (Lisa) Thompson of Florida; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard (Darlene) Lorey of Caldwell and Richard (Barbara) Lorey of North Carolina; sister, Dorothy Hesson of Elba; and sister-in-law, Gladys Lorey of Canton.
