Obituary for Kurt Allen Stack
Kurt Allen Stack, age 49, of Dexter City, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 1, 2016, near Pennsboro, West Virginia. He was born September 12, 1967, in Marietta, son of Kenneth E. and Sandra D. Baker Stack of Macksburg. He was a 1985 graduate of Caldwell High School, and he was a self-employed logger most of his life with K. E. Stack Logging. He was a member of the Macksburg United Methodist Church, and he was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge #2382, in Lowell. Kurt enjoyed playing pool and horseshoes, and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and hill climbing with four wheelers. He loved to visit and share stories, and he loved to help people. He never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by one nephew, Carl Steven Stack, Jr.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Stephanie L. Thompson Stack, whom he married August 16, 1997; two step-sons, Christopher A. (Christine) Fink of California, and David “Kyle” Fink of Columbus; two brothers, Paul “Eugene” (Debbie) Stack of Warner and Carl S. Stack of Cumberland; one sister, Melissa J. (Neil) Polk of Caldwell; two grandchildren, Cate and Chloe Fink; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Sunday November 6, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Monday, November 7th at 11AM with Pastor Tim Thomas officiating.
