Obituary for Alan C. Moore
Alan C. Moore, age 63, of Pleasant City, Ohio, died Friday, December 27, 2019, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born May 18, 1956, in Cambridge, son of Helen Louise Hickman Moore of Pleasant City and the late Albert Carl Moore. He attended Marysville High School, and he was a veteran with the Ohio National Guard. Alan worked in oil fields for over thirty years, and he owned and operated Moore’s Fur. He was a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Post #641 and the American Legion Riders, for which he served as vice-president. He was Methodist by faith. He loved riding his Harley and hanging out with his Harley friends, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Shawn Moore.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Mary Ann Khune Moore, whom he married June 29, 1984; his children, David Brian Moore (Lisa Guy) of New Athens and Rebecca Sue (Travis) Carpenter of Salesville; one sister, Gloria E. (David) Friend of Marysville; and four grandchildren, Erica Ann (Erik) Frencik, Vincent E. Miller, Chloe M. Ayers, and Riley J. Carpenter; one great-grandson, Holden D. “Tex” Frencik; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and brothers-and sisters-in-law.
Friends may call Monday, December 30, 2019, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, December 31st at 1PM with Pastor Rodney Reeves and Pastor Randy Mercer officiating. A veteran’s service will be conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations. Burial will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery.
