Obituary for Anthony Joseph "Joe" Jones
Anthony Joseph “Joe” Jones, age 60, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born February 21, 1956, in Albany, New York, son of the late Archie Gordon and Rosalie Antoinette Billetts Jones. He attended school in Rensselaer, New York. He was employed as a warehouse manager and for various production companies, and he was also employed by the village of Macksburg in the street department. Joe attended Barry’s Ridge Community Church, and he enjoyed fishing, going to flea markets, and collecting coins. He also enjoyed playing games, including horseshoes and video games, and he enjoyed working puzzles. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Archie Gordon, Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Robin Marie O’Dell Jones, whom he married May 5, 1990; two step-children, Scott Michael Cross of Wooster and Alisha Lynn (Frank) Schob of Caldwell; his siblings, Christopher Jones of Pulaski, New York, Michael Jones of Schenectady, New York, Rosalie Van Dyke of Mechanicsville, New York, Debra Kahler of Jefferson, Tennessee, Tynia Radcliffe of Umatilla, Florida, and Wanda Collins and April Jones, both of Redfield, New York; 4 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, July 15th at 11AM with Pastor John Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Barry’s Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with final expenses in care of McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, P.O. Box 263, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
