Obituary for William S. "Billy" Danford
William S. “Billy” Danford, age 31, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, July 21, 2019, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born October 16, 1987, in Morgantown, West Virginia, son of Phillip W. and Eva M. Collins Danford of Caldwell. He was a 2007 graduate of Shenandoah High School and Mid-East Career Center in Buffalo, where he was enrolled in the Auto-Tech program. He was employed as a driller for Express Energy Services. Billy was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 641 in Belle Valley and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #2952 in Caldwell. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and driving demolition derby cars. He also loved playing pool, grilling, and was a big Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Billy loved fishing with his nephews, and he was devoted to his family, especially to his nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by an infant brother, Jason Edward Danford; his grandparents, William and Patricia Danford and Dessie Blosser; one aunt, Beth Johnson; two uncles, Joey Collins and Wayne Milliken; and one cousin, Anthony Collins.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his grandfather, Arthur Blosser of Reedsville, West Virginia; his siblings, Kimberly J. (Scott) Norman of Cumberland, and Sarabeth Danford, Troy P. Danford (Jordan Clark), and Travis W. (Stephanie) Danford, all of Caldwell; his beloved nieces and nephews, Jordan Danford, Brandon Norman, Emilee Norman, Trinity Werning, Alaina Werning, Elijah Danford, Zachary Danford, Bella Danford, Kyler Mackie, and Brantley Mackie; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 24, 2019, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Thursday, July 25th at 11AM with Robbie Dalton officiating. Burial will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery.
