Obituary for William E. Patterson
William E. Patterson, age 59 of Caldwell, died Wednesday November 5, 2003 at The Southeastern Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born March 6, 1944 in Logan, Ohio a son of the late William Ottis and Grace Irene Owings Patterson. He graduated from Logan High School where he was senior athelete of the year in 1962. He was employed at LDM Technologies in Byesville, was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, the Logan Moose and Cambridge Eagles. He was a beloved baseball coach, an avid golfer and bowler, enjoyed car shows and sports of all kinds, especially Michigan football. He is survived by his wife; Shirley C. Smith Patterson whom he married in 1990, 2 sons; Chip Patterson of Logan and Alan Thompson of Columbus, 2 daughters; Darlene (Mark) Roe of Senecaville, Cheryl (Nathan) Murphy of Wooster, 1 brother; Craig Patterson of Logan, 1 sister; Marilyn McWilliams of Columbus, 4 grandchildern; Nathan, Kevin, and Allen Roe and Reiley Murphy, 1 aunt; Mich Steward of Logan, Mother-in-law; Irma Irene Smith of Caldwell, several brothers and sisters in law. Friends may call at the Roberts Funeral Home 60 West Hunter Street, Logan on Friday from 5-8 pm and at the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell on Saturday from 12 pm until time of funeral services at 3 pm with pastor David Wells officiating. Interment will be in Dudley Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Logan Little League. GO BLUE!!!
