Obituary for William C. Clark
William C. Clark, age 70, of Belle Valley, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born November 12, 1944, in Noble County, son of the late Little Zedrick and Rosa Belle Bates Clark. He was a 1964 graduate of Shenandoah High School, and a graduate of the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. Mr. Clark was employed as a village police officer in Caldwell and as a deputy sheriff for the Noble County Sheriff’s Department. He retired in 2008 from the former Mahle Corporation plant in Caldwell. He was a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Post #641, and the Noble County Cruzers Car Club.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Josey Lee Clark, who died July 13, 2014; two sisters, Opal Leasure and Mary LuCinda Anderson; and two brothers, Delbert B. Clark and John Jacob Clark.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Bond Clark, whom he married January 12, 2002; three children, Eric K. (Sherri) Clark of Pleasant City, Billie Jo (Craig) Clark of Reinersville, and Clint P. Clark of Dexter City; three step-children, Shannon (Dusty) Wilson of Delaware, Ohio, Susan (Bud) Reed of Caldwell, and Chuck (Elaine) Smith of Belle Valley; his siblings, James R. (Nancy) Clark of Caldwell, Zedric J. (Kay) Clark of Senecaville, Rosa Belle King of Caldwell, and Joseph E. (Nancy) Clark of Pleasant City; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Sunday, February 1, 2015, from 11AM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 2PM with Pastor Larry Copley officiating. A military graveside service will follow at Halleys Ridge Cemetery near Ava conducted by the Noble County Veterans Service Organizations.
