Obituary for Wilbur E. "Bill" Hotchkiss
Wilbur E. “Bill” Hotchkiss, age 90, of Parma, Ohio, formerly of Brook Park and Caldwell, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Southern Hills Health and Rehab Center in Middleburg Heights. He was born September 4, 1925, in Falconer, New York, son of the late Earl and Ethel Clark Hotchkiss. Mr. Hotchkiss was a United States Army Air Corp veteran of World War II, having served in the Philippines. He retired as a sales and service engineer for industrial equipment companies. He enjoyed walking and traveling with his wife, B. Virginia Welch Hotchkiss, whom he married May 25, 1957, and who died February 12, 2001.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Alberta Taft, Lucille Thornton, Shirley Rastetter, and Betty Schreckengost.

Surviving are his step-daughter, Nannette J. (David) Smith of Parma; three grandchildren, Gregory Smith, Todd Smith, and Bambi Smith, all of Parma; and one great-grandson, Evan Smith of Parma.

A private family graveside service will be observed. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, Ohio, is caring for the family.
