Obituary for Wesley David Johnson
Wesley David Johnson, age 88, of Cambridge, Ohio died Friday evening (11/6/2003) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born 1/21/1915 in Jackson Township, Noble County, Ohio a son of the late Wesley and Emma Jane Byers Johnson. He drove bread truck for Nickles Bakery for many years, was a farmer and a retired employee of Remington Rand in Marietta. Mr. Johnson was a member of First Church of Christ in Caldwell, where he was baptized by the Rev. William Pickenpaugh in 2001 and was a former member of the Grange. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 1 brother, 2 sisters and 1 granddaughter. Surviving are his wife Martha DeBerry Johnson whom he married 3/26/1962; 5 daughters Jean (Bill) Hupp of Caldwell, Carol (Fred) Schell of Caldwell, Marjorie (Marvin) Ruppel of Caldwell, Karen (John)Johnson of Cambridge and Melissa (Brian) Johnson of Belle Valley; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call Monday (11/10/2003) from 2 to 9 pm. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday (11/11/2003) at 11:00am at Schafer's Ridge Cemetery with Rev. William Pickenpaugh officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, P.O. Box #263, Caldwell, Ohio 43724, for final expenses.
