Obituary for Wauneta Genevieve Radcliff
Wauneta Genevieve Radcliff, age 90, of Caldwell, died Saturday, March 4, 2006, at her residence. She was born October 9, 1915, in Caldwell, Ohio, daughter of the late Clifford and Ocie Tilton Porter. She was a graduate of Caldwell High School and the LPN Program at the former Columbus State Hospital. She was formerly employed as a cook for the Detroit Baptist Children's Home, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Radcliff was a member of the First Baptist Church, Caldwell, where she was a member of its Women's Sunday School Class, and a member and past president of the Jenny James Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Women's Philathia Club at Royal Oak, Michigan. She loved to sew and cook. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Nolan, Arthur, and Duane Porter; and two grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, John Byron Radcliff, whom she married December 4, 1937; one daughter, June M. Aho of Caldwell; one son, Jack (Kathryn) Radcliff of Sterling Heights, Michigan; one sister, Geraldine Willey of Caldwell; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, March 6, 2006, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Tuesday, March 7, at 1PM with Pastor Gary Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery.
