Obituary for Wanda Kay DeLancey
Wanda Kay DeLancey, age 53, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She was born July 23, 1952, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of Mildred Messer Moore of Cumberland and the late Jesse 'Meryl' Moore. She was a 1970 graduate of Meadowbrook High School in Byesville and the office management program at the Guernsey-Noble Career Center. Mrs. DeLancey worked as a house keeper and as a janitor at the Wilds in Cumberland. She was a member of Ark Springs Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading and drawing. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a son, Larry G. DeLancey, Jr. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Larry G. DeLancey whom she married February 26, 1974; one son, Trampus Lee (Trisha) DeLancey of Cumberland; one daughter, Mrs. Jody (Amanda Mae) Moore of Senecaville; two brothers, Larry (Beverly) Moore of Claysville and Terry (Sandy) Moore of Byesville; one sister, Bev Easterling of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Miranda, Shelby, and Dylan DeLancey, and Jordan Moore; her mother-in-law, Iola DeLancey of New Concord; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday evening, March 30, 2006, from 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Friday, March 31, 2006 at 1PM with Pastor Paul Thomas officiating.
