Obituary for WILLIAM SABO

WILLIAM SABO, AGE 82,FORMERLY OF HEATH, OHIO DIED SATURDAY MORNING AUGUST 3, 2002 IN SUMMIT ACERS NURSING HOME WHERE HE WAS A RESIDENT. HE WAS BORN OCTOBER 26, 1919 IN CRESCENT OHIO A SON OF THE LATE CHARLES AND MARY BALAZY SABO. HE WAS CO-OWNER OF THE FORMER FREEDOM COAL COMPANY, AND A FORMER OWNER OF THE ELM TAVERN IN DEXTER CITY. IN 1965 HE MOVED TO NEWARK, OHIO WHERE HE OWNED AND OPERATED A MOBILE HOME PARK. HE RETIRED AS A FEDERAL MINE INSPECTOR IN 1985. HE WAS A WWII VETERAN SERVING IN THE US COAST GUARD, A MEMBER OF THE HUNGARIAN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN CRESCENT, OHIO, A MEMBER OF THE NEWARK MOOSE LODGE AND A MEMBER OF THE HEATH LIONS CLUB. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE MAXINE PIERGALLINI SABO ON AUGUST 12, 1991, SISTERS; MARGARET DYE AND ETHEL DYE, AN INFANT SISTER, BROTHERS; LOUIS AND CHARLES SABO. HE IS SURVIVED BY 1 SON;GARY (JOAN) SABO OF GRANVILLE, 1DAUGHTER; BONNIE (EDDIE) FIDDLER OF NEW ALEXANDRIA, 5 GRANDCHILDREN, 3 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, SISTER IN LAW; GLORIA ROCCO MOORE, MANY NEICES AND NEPHEWS. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE MCVAY-PERKINS FUNERAL HOME ON MONDAY FROM 5-8 PM WHERE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD TUESDAY AT 11 AM WITH REV HELEN LEWIS OFFICIATING. INTERMENT WILL BE IN LINWOOD CEMETERY, BLAINE, OHIO.
