Obituary for Virginia Ruth West
Virginia Ruth West, age 80, of Caldwell, died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born May 26, 1926, in Lore City, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Etta Milligan Smalley. She was a 1945 graduate of Caldwell High School, and she was employed by RCA, Cambridge, and retired from NCR, Cambridge. She formerly was a bus driver for Caldwell Exempted Village Schools, and was a member of the Center Free Methodist Church, Sarahsville. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Miley Cale West, whom she married June 28, 1945, and who died February 26, 1992; a son, John A. West, who died March 20, 1999; and one sister, Emma Angeluchi. Surviving are two sons, Thomas F. (Suzi) West of Inola, Oklahoma, and M. Kim (Teresa) West of Sarahsville; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Mary) Keaton of Circleville and Jean Snode of Caldwell; one brother, Robert D. (Shirley) Smalley of Canton; four grandchildren, Misti Dawn Spatz, Mindy Bracken, Molly West, and Drew West; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Spatz, Kade Bracken, and Nicholas Bracken; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday, July 26, 2006, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Thursday, July 27, 2006, at 1PM with Pastor Jimmy Rogers officiating.
