Obituary for Virginia M. Woodford
Virginia M. Woodford, age 88, of Zanesville, Ohio, died Sunday, August 26, 2018, at The Oaks at Bethesda. She was born August 6, 1930, in Noble County, daughter of the late Earl and Beulah Fogle Wheeler. She was a beloved mother and homemaker who was devoted to her family. Virginia attended Barry’s Ridge Baptist Church, and she loved gardening flowers and vegetables. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ivan Woodford, who died April 14, 1972; three sisters, Wanda Pitts, Ruth Wheeler, and infant sister Nancy Wheeler; and two brothers, Ronald Wheeler and Earl Wheeler, Jr.
Surviving are one daughter, Teresa A. (Rick) Warne of Zanesville; one granddaughter, Angela (Josh) Wheeler of Zanesville; her siblings, Margaret “Maggie” Bates of Byesville, and Gilbert “Gib” (Judy) Wheeler and Nellie Frederickson, both of Caldwell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, August 28, 2018, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, August 29th at 10AM with Pastor Mark E. Ballmer officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery.
