Obituary for Virgil Wayne Evans, Jr
Virgil Wayne Evans, Jr. age 54, of Macksburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at the Arbors of Marietta. He was born February 15, 1955, in Marietta, son of the late Virgil W. and Mary Huntsman Evans. He attended Fort Frye High School, and he was employed by Silver Hills Construction Company of Marietta and as a maintenance supervisor by Heartland of Marietta. He was affiliated with the Macksburg United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Clark. Surviving are his wife, Janet L. Smith Evans, whom he married August 18, 1972; one daughter, Angie L. (Jason) Wriston of Macksburg; two sons, David W. Evans and Randy Evans, both of Macksburg; one sister, Debbie (Ed) Britton of Marietta; a special aunt, Anna Mae Butler of Marietta; two grandchildren, Kaleene Jett and Chandler Evans; one-step-grandson, Cody Wriston; special friends and caregivers, Stan Flowers and Slim Putman, both of Marietta; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Friday, May 15, 2009, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 10AM with Pastor Ken Ogg officiating. Burial will follow at Lund Cemetery in Macksburg.
