Verna Kay Stack, age 62, of Pleasant City, died Sunday, December 18, 2005, at Red Carpet Health Care Center, Cambridge. She was born January 27, 1943, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Charles and Louella Hickman Moore. She retired from the former NCR in 1991 and worked part-time at 313 Video. She was a member of the Ava Free Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, David G. Stack, Jr.; one brother, Jessie Moore; and two sisters, Betty Morrison and Norma Hayes. Surviving are her husband, David G. Stack, Sr., whom she married August 6, 1961; four daughters, Shelly K. Clipner of Pleasant City, Mrs. Eric (Taunia Renee) Murphy of Utica, Julia Ann Kovalchik and Tammy Wheeler, both of Pleasant City; one brother, Harry (Janet) Moore of Caldwell; two sisters, Delores Morrison of Cambridge and Mrs. W.W. (Louise) Webb of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and 12 grandchildren. Friends may call Wednesday, December 21, 2005, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be Thursday, December 22 at 1PM with Pastor Donald Glass officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery.
