Obituary for Tommy J. Rossiter
Tommy J. Rossiter, age 75, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born February 7, 1947, in Cambridge, son of the late Virgil J. and Betty Irene Johnson Rossiter. Tommy attended Buffalo Local and Sarahsville High Schools. He was employed as an equipment operator for Red Malcuit in Strasburg for many years and retired from Local #18 International Union of Operating Engineers in Akron. Tommy enjoyed playing the lottery and going to watch his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their sporting events.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ellen Hesson Rossiter, whom he married February 19,1967, and who died January 4, 2010; one daughter, Tamara L. Rossiter, who died in 1989; and one son, Tommy J. “Bub” Rossiter, II, who died in 2001.
Surviving are his daughter, Lisa K. (Dana) Jennings of Caldwell; 6 grandchildren, Jessica A. Hardesty, Mark A. Rossiter, Adam M. (Erica) Rossiter, Madison L. Rossiter, Sydney L. Jennings, and Clark J. Jennings; 3 great-grandchildren, Lilie, Brayden, and Lyla Rossiter, and one great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Robert L. (Margaret) Rossiter of Pleasant City; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Monday, February 14, 2022, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, February 15th at 11AM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Center Free Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Guernsey at www.hospiceofguernsey.com.
