Obituary for Thomas L. Clark
Thomas L. Clark, age 69, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 25, 1939, in Middleburg, son of the late Charles A. and Freda E. Fleeman Clark. He retired in 2004 from the former Dana Corporation in Caldwell following 42 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Local #4836, Olive Lodge #210, F&AM, former Noble Lodge #459 F&AM, where he served as past master, the Mustang Club of America, and the Shelby American Automobile Club. Tom enjoyed old cars, spending his summers polishing and showing his collection of classic Mustangs and Shelbys, and enjoying the many friendships of his car buddies. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who always made time for his family and provided for their needs. He loved being with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Betty Stanberry; and two brothers, William and Dean Clark. Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Archer Clark, whom he married October 6, 1963; one son, Darin L. (Bonnie) Clark of Caldwell; three grandchildren, Cory Clark, Brittani Nau and Jordan Nau, all of Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday, April 18, 2009, from 6-8PM and Sunday, April 19th from 2-7PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow Sunday at 7PM. A private graveside service will be observed at Olive Cemetery, Caldwell.
