Thelma R. Carna, age 55, of Elba, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 1, 1951, daughter of Gladys Hughey Seevers of Elba and the late Bernard Seevers. She was a graduate of Caldwell High School and was employed as an office manager at Sharon Stone Company. She loved to crochet, quilt, and take photographs, as well as cook and take walks. Thelma dearly enjoyed her grandchilden and enjoyed making them clothing, blankets, and Halloween costumes. She is survived by her son, Steve M. (Melinda) Carna of Ashville, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Charlie (Stephanie M.) Laswell of Elba; two sisters, Linda Grosz of Canal Winchester and Mrs. Denver (Doreen) Hesson of Elba; one brother, Bernard (Carman) Seevers of Marietta; three grandchildren, Hunter Carna, Melina Carna, Emalee Laswell, and baby granddaughter Laswell, who is due in August, 2006; her best friend and life partner of eleven years, Roger Fulton of Warner; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Friends may call Friday, June 9, 2006, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Saturday, June 10, at 1PM with Pastor Donald Seevers officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Township Cemetery.
