Obituary for Terry E. 'Hoss' Leek
Terry E. “Hoss” Leek, age 63, of Buffalo, Ohio, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at his home. He was born September 29, 1948, in Belmont County, Ohio, son of the late Paul W. and Sara E. Moore Leek. He was employed as a welder and diesel mechanic for the Guernsey County Highway Department for 27 years. He was a member of Big John’s Sportsman’s Club in Pleasant City, and the 672 Sportsman’s Club in Cumberland. He enjoyed golfing and playing poker, and he loved his dog, Copper. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Roger Leek; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Paul Long. Surviving are his wife, Sheila M. Long Leek, whom he married April 19, 1969; his children, Terry E. “Charlie” Leek, Jr. of the home, Tracie M. (Daniel) Holdren of Cambridge, Chris A. Leek (Shannon Thompson) of Byesville, and Heather D. Leek (Scott Dotson) of Cambridge; one sister, Gara (Donald) Moore of Cambridge; one brother, Jim (Louise) Leek of Streetsboro; four grandchildren, Cody R. Smith, Chris L. Rogers, Anna Marie Rogers, and Eliana Thompson; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends and co-workers; and his dog, Copper. Friends may call Wednesday, March 28, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Thursday, March 29th at 1PM with Dick Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery.
