Terrence L. “Terry” “Buck” Trenner, age 76, of Byesville, Ohio, died Friday, October 18, 2024, at his home. He was born October 16, 1948, son of the late Raymond “Buck” Trenner and Betty Elizabeth Sopko Trenner McCauley. He was a United States Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Mahle Corporation as a stock chaser and bushing sorter following 32 years of service. Buck was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Belle Valley. He enjoyed working in his garage, mowing his grass, and he was a great cook. He was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Wayne “Sparky” McCauley; a grandson, John David Gifford; one brother, James “Jimmy” Trenner; and his dog, Camo.
Surviving are his wife, Daphene Bentley Trenner, with whom he spent 21 years; his children, Scott L. (Cathi) Trenner of Sarahsville, Stephen L. Trenner (Laura Blair) of Belle Valley, Stacey J. Trenner (Lori Stine) of Cumberland, Michelle L. (Shawn) Crow of Byesville, Donna J. (Danny) Hickman of Caldwell, John S. (Kayla) Gifford of Byesville, and Tom (Carmen) Yoho of Byesville; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda D. (Terry) Roberts and Julia Trenner Roberts, all of Caldwell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Walt and Terry Fry.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 4-6PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 6PM with Lynn Zerkle and Mike Waite officiating. A veteran’s service will be conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, Noble Twp. Rd. 108, Belle Valley, Ohio, 43717.
