Obituary for Steven R. Ellis, Jr.
Steven R. Ellis, Jr., age 37, of Ava, Ohio, died Saturday, April 2, 2016, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born October 4, 1978, in Wadsworth, son of Steven R. Ellis, Sr. of Wooster, and Anna Darlene Larrison Ellis of Ava. He was employed as a water truck driver for Petta Industries, and he was a member of the Ava United Methodist Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his children.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Russell Blake Ellis, who died in 1997.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his children, Shantell Nicole Ellis of Cambridge, and Kaitlyn Marie Ellis and Brennan Amadeus Ellis, both of Belle Valley; his maternal grandmother, Myrna Larrison of Ava; his paternal grandmother, Naomi Ellis of Wooster; a special cousin, Terry Joseph “T.J.” Stahl of Ava; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 5, 2016, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with David Cater officiating. Burial will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, P.O. Box 263, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724, to assist the family with final expenses.
