Obituary for Stephen J. "Peb" Flynn
Stephen J. “Peb” Flynn, age 52, of Zanesville, Ohio, died Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Genesis Hospital. He was born December 5, 1969, in Dayton, son of James William Flynn, Sr. (Karen Russell) of Malta and the late Diane Carol Obal Flynn Kindle. Peb was a 1988 graduate of Bellbrook High School at Bellbrook, and he attended Sinclair Community College in Dayton. He was employed as a truck driver for Heartland Petroleum in Zanesville. Peb was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and doing anything outdoors. He was a kind-hearted man who was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by one sister, Carol M. “Carrie” Flynn.
Surviving in addition to his father are his wife, Bonnie M. King Flynn, whom he married July 4, 2013; his children, Lonna M. Flynn of Marion and Samantha H. Flynn of Baltimore, Ohio; his step-children, Bradley E. (Breanna) Cooper of Bethesda, Emily R. (Brian) Matthews of Cambridge, and Holly M. Cooper (Michael McLaughlin) of Sarahsville; his siblings, James W. (Trinette) Flynn, Jr. of Wayesville and Debra A. “Debbie” Flynn (Alan Schussheim) of Troy; 7 grandchildren; his good friend, Brian Moore of New Lexington; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 11AM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 2PM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Center Free Methodist Church Cemetery in Sarahsville.
