Obituary for Shirley Mae Boney
Shirley Mae Boney, age 73, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born March 22, 1938, in Belle Valley, daughter of the late Dwight and Mary Clark Morland. She was a graduate of Belle Valley High School, and she retired as a bookkeeper and secretary for Caldwell Motors. She was also a homemaker. Mrs. Boney was a member of the Guernsey Chapter #211, Order of the Eastern Star in Cambridge, and she attended the former Olive Green United Methodist Church. She enjoyed studying genealogy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Larry Morland. Surviving are her husband, Robert W. Boney, whom she married December 17, 1955; her children, Donnie L. Boney and Ronnie D. Boney, both of Caldwell, Rita J. (Steve) Kirk of Columbus, Bobby W. (Joyce) Boney of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Rosemary S. (Bob) Vaughn of Cambridge; her siblings, Bill (Vicki) Morland, Leonard Morland, and Jean (Richard) Lovett, all of Caldwell, Sue (John) Lisak of Hiramsburg, Alice (Maynard) Ball of South Bloomingville and Mary Blair of Dexter City; several grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Thursday, December 1, 2011, from 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30PM. The funeral service will be observed Friday, December 2nd at 11AM with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery.
