Sherry L. Augenstein, age 73, of Caldwell, Ohio, formerly of Crooked Tree, died Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Summit Acres Assisted Living. She was born November 23, 1950, in Marietta, daughter of the late Orville E. and Eloise M. Scott Hall. Sherry was a 1968 graduate of Caldwell High School. She retired as an administrative assistant for Morton Buildings after over 40 years of service. She attended Evergreen Bible Church in Williamstown, West Virginia. Sherry enjoyed flower gardening, canning, and collecting clown figurines and pictures, her favorite being Emmett Kelly. She was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her children, Shelly K. (Bill) Bickford of Caldwell and Michael L. (Angie) Augenstein of Stockport; four grandchildren, Tristen (Carrie) Bickford of Caldwell, Taylor Bickford (fiancé, John Milligan) of Cambridge, and Raya Augenstein and Myka Augenstein, both of Stockport; four great-grandchildren, Brantley Bickford, Brylynn Milligan, and Brealyn and Adilynn Smith; her siblings, Shila (Charlie) Harris and Larry Hall (Barb Casto), all of Marietta; a niece and nephew, Beth DeMark and Bradley Harris; and her longtime companion, Rodney E. Hall of McConnelsville.
Friends may call Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 4-8 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Monday, January 22nd at 11 AM with Pastor Bradley Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Twp. Cemetery. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at Summit Acres and Marietta Memorial Hospital Dept. of Medical Oncology in Belpre.
