Obituary for Sharon E. Barnum
Sharon E. Barnum, age 58, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, July 15, 2019, at her home. She was born March 16, 1961, in Zanesville, daughter of Mary Belle Pilcher DeVoll of Caldwell and the late Myron W. DeVoll. She was a 1979 graduate of Caldwell High School and the Guernsey-Noble Career Center where she was in the office administration program. She was employed as an aide at Summit Acres Nursing Home for 14 years, where she enjoyed caring for the elderly. She was a member of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church, where she served as a greeter. Sharon loved to crochet. She was devoted to her family and loved her nieces and nephews, and she loved the Lord with all her heart.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sisters, Beverly J. DeVoll and Shirley D. (Darrell) Smith, all of Caldwell, and Myra A. DeVoll of Dover; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 17, 2019, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to McVay-Perkins Funeral Home to help the family with final expenses.
