Obituary for Sarah E. DeLancey
Sarah E. DeLancey, age 46, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, March 23, 2015, at Wexner OSU Medical Center in Columbus. She was born March 13, 1969, in Alliance, daughter of Alice F. LeMasters Groves of North Wheeling, West Virginia, and the late William C. Groves. She was a 1988 graduate of Brooke High School in Wellsburg, West Virginia, and she studied business management online. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and she loved her cats.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her birth mother, Cora A. Cosgray.
Surviving are one one daughter, Abigail G. DeLancey of Caldwell; one son, Chaise A. DeLancey of Caldwell; one step-son, Steven M. DeLancey of Caldwell; four sisters, Melissa D. “Lisa” Stottsberry (Joe Clifton) of Cumberland, Ruby F. (Butch) Knorr of Wellsburg, West Virginia, and Stacey L. (Ronnie) Tallman and Shelia J. (Russell) Clark, both of Weirton, West Virginia; two brothers, William C. “Butch” (Liz) Groves, II, of Oxford, Pennsylvania, and John P. Groves of the home; one granddaughter, Keyaira DeLancey; and her companion, Don.
Friends may call Thursday, March 26, 2015, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 8PM with Pastor George Clark officiating.
