Obituary for Sara R. Warren
Sara R. Warren, age 99, of Dexter City, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born January 28, 1918, in Summerfield, daughter of the late James and Luella Horton Palmer. She was a 1936 graduate of Summerfield High School and a graduate of Meredith Business College in Zanesville. During World War II, Sara worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, and she also was employed for a time by Noble County Treasurer Marvin Johnson. She was a beloved mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Dexter City United Methodist Church where she played the piano.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis D. “Dan” Warren, whom she married November 22, 1941, and who died December 21, 2002; and one sister, Helen Sondles.
Surviving are three children, James T. Warren of Dexter City, Joan E. Warren of Columbus, and Jack A. (Sue) Warren of Pataskala; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be observed Friday, June 30, 2017, at 11AM at Dexter City Cemetery with Ken Perkins officiating. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for the family.
