Obituary for Sandra L. Ball
Sandra L. Ball, age 74, of Sarahsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark. She was born January 22, 1944, in Caldwell, daughter of the late James Delbert and Frances Elizabeth Kirkbride, Jr. She was employed at Center Grocery and the Shenandoah Egg Factory for many years. She was also employed as a home health aide. She attended Center Free Methodist Church in Sarahsville and volunteered at The Samaritan House and Lutheran Social Services, both of Caldwell, for many years. Sandra was a beloved mother and homemaker who was devoted to her family, especially to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, fishing, and boating with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Justin F. Bunting.
Surviving are her husband, Charles W. Ball, Sr., whom she married January 2, 1960; her children, Charles William “Boo” Ball, Jr., of Sarahsville, Connie Jean Bunting of Caldwell, and Brian A. Ball (Angie Hinton) of Sarahsville; her siblings, Rita (Oscar) Estep of Pleasant City, June Funk of Pleasant City, Evelyn Ball of Marietta, Cindy (Junior) Anderson of Pleasant City, Cheryl (Gary) Funk of Tennessee, Pat (Jimmy) Eschman of Belle Valley, Ben (Nellie) Kirkbride of Zanesville, and Ray (Louise) Kirkbride of Pleasant City; grandchildren: Stephanie (Eric) Kasserman, Joshua Bunting, Brian (Erin) Leasure, Andrew Ball, Austin Mooney, and Dakota Mooney; great-grandchildren: Elijah, Kolton, Bryleigh, Josaline, Bryson, Caden, and Brooke; 3 uncles; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her beloved terrier-poodle, Scrappette.
Friends may call Monday, June 4, 2018, from 11AM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 2PM with Pastor George Clark officiating.
