Sandra Jo Perkins, age 72, of New Johnsonville, Tennessee, formerly of Noble County, died Saturday, September 17, 2022, at her home. She was born October 5, 1949, in Cambridge, Ohio daughter of Alice Jean Dudley McCall Bond of Ava and the late Ernest Frank McCall. Sandy was a 1967 graduate of Shenandoah High School and had earned an Associate of Nursing Degree. She retired from Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a member of the Waverly Church of the Nazarene in Waverly, Tennessee. Sandy enjoyed riding motorcycles and taking boat rides on the Tennessee River/Kentucky Lake. She loved her grandchildren and cherished spending precious time with her family.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her stepfather, Clyde H. “Jr.” Bond; and her sister Darla J. Perkins
In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband, Fred P. Perkins, whom she married December 9, 1967; her children, Sanna (Bryan) Perkins Anderson of Murray, Kentucky and Paul “Nathan” (Allene) Perkins of Mars Hill, North Carolina; her sister, G. Jane “Janie” Hogan of Old Washington; her grandchildren, Claire, Keeley, Harrison, Lila, Charlotte and Bennett Perkins, and Cate Anderson.
Friends may call Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street in Caldwell, where services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery. An online guestbook may be signed at www.mcvay-perkins.com. Face coverings will be available at the funeral home for those who wish to wear them.
