Obituary for Ruth Eileen Boyd
Ruth E. Boyd, age 80, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday evening, April 2, 2006, at her home. She was born November 23, 1925, in Cumberland, Ohio, daughter of the late Hicel and Helen Allen Bates. She was a homemaker and a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles K. Boyd, whom she married December 22, 1948 and who died August 10, 2003; and a brother, William Bates. She is survived by three sons, Daniel (Nancy) Boyd, Alfred (Phyllis) Boyd and William (Chris) Boyd, all of Caldwell; 1 sister, Ruby Blackstone of New Concord, Ohio; 1 brother, Robert (LaVaughn) Bates of Cumberland, Ohio; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Friends may call Tuesday, April 4, 2006, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at 1PM with Evangelists Robert Vincent and Paul Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery.
