Obituary for Ruth E. Fogle
Ruth E. Fogle, age 77, of Lower Salem, Ohio, died Sunday, November 10, 2013, at her home. She was born July 8, 1936, in Olive Green, daughter of the late John and Ethel King Clark. She was a 1954 graduate of Caldwell High School, and she was employed over the years by First National Bank of Zanesville, Francis Family Restaurant in Macksburg, Big Boy Restaurant in Marietta, and she retired as dining room manager for Shoney’s Restaurant in Marietta in 1998. She was a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church in Marietta, and she enjoyed crocheting and fishing. She also enjoyed sports, and she was an avid fan of NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wesley Fogle, whom she married December 9, 1955, and who died in September, 1996; one sister, Elizabeth Teters; and one brother, John A. Clark. Surviving are her children, Jeff L. (Diane) Fogle of Lower Salem, Paul R. “Randy” Fogle of the home, David A. (fiancé, Brenda) Fogle of Jacksonsville, Florida, and John W. (Becky) Fogle of Watertown, Ohio; one sister, Blanche O. Fogle of New Concord; 6 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Tuesday, November 12, 2013, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, November 13th at 11AM. Inurnment will follow at Zion Ridge Cemetery in Harriettsville.
