Obituary for Ruth C. Krizan
Ruth C. Krizan, age 90, of Lower Salem, Ohio, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Genesis Marietta Care Center in Marietta. She was born December 21, 1927, in Marietta, daughter of the late Irvin Knowlton and Maude Hill Walker. She was a devoted Christian and was a member of Ogle’s Ridge Community Church. Ruth was a beloved homemaker who opened her home to over 50 people in their time of need. She enjoyed painting murals, portraits, and landscapes, and she enjoyed cooking.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Paul Krizan, Sr., whom she married May 27, 1949, and who died June 28, 1982.
Surviving are her children, Douglas D. Krizan of Stafford, Daniel P. (Linda) Krizan, Jr. of Mansfield, Kathy K. (Bernard) Walton of Mansfield, and Kandice L. (Roy) Harriman of Lower Salem; one brother, Thomas Wilkenson of Florida; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be observed Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at 11AM at Ogle’s Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Kevin White officiating. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for the family.
