Obituary for Russell C. Johnson
Russell C. Johnson, age 75, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at his home. He was born October 4, 1937, in Hiramsburg, son of Helen E. Conner Johnson of Caldwell, and the late Dwight M. Johnson. He was a graduate of Belle Valley High School, and a United States Army veteran, having served as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne, Quartermaster Corps, stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. He worked for the Mosaic Tile Company in Zanesville, and he retired from the former Dana Corporation plant in Caldwell. He was Baptist by faith. Mr. Johnson enjoyed his work, and he loved his children, his grandchildren, and his dog, Sheba II. Surviving are one daughter, Pamela K. (Jeff) Buckey of Ava; one son, Shawn K. (Stephanie) Johnson of Waterford; one brother, Jack P. (Connie) Johnson of Bolivar; his companion of 33 years, Mary E. Ogle of Caldwell; four grandchildren, James R. (Kayla) Buckey of Caldwell, Megan L. (Adam) Seder of New Berne, North Carolina, and Alec C. Johnson, and Kendyl R. Johnson, both of Waterford; two great-grandchildren, James H. Buckey and Bennett J. Buckey; one niece, Michelle L. Johnson of Zanesville; and one nephew, Jack P. Johnson, II of Cambridge. Friends may call Monday, February 11, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, February 12th at 11AM with Pastor Wayne Stout and Pastor Dale Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Hoskinsville Cemetery.
