Obituary for Roy Wayne Milliken
Roy Wayne Milliken, age 68, of Cambridge, Ohio, died Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at his home. He was born May 2, 1947, in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of the late John Henry and Loretta Albright Milliken. He was a 1965 graduate of Hopedale High School, and he was a United States Army veteran. He retired as a deep mine foreman for Consol Coal Company, and he was formerly employed by NCR in Cambridge. He was a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Post #641. Mr. Milliken enjoyed hunting, fishing, antiquing, coin collecting, and going on searches with his metal detector.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley J. Quail and Ethel Mae Bunton.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda E. Danford Milliken, whom he married in 1969; his children, Beth Ann (Kevin) Warner of Summerfield, Eric Wayne Milliken of Cambridge, and Kevin Scott (Tara) Milliken of Raleigh, North Carolina; one brother, Jeffery (Benna) Milliken of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, December 18, 2015, from 5-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Saturday, December 19th at 11AM with Pastor George Clark officiating. A military graveside service will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
