Rosemary L. Johnson, age 82, of Sarahsville, Ohio, died Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Embassy of Cambridge. She was born August 19, 1941, in Laura, Ohio, daughter of the late Galen and Beatrice Seman Loxley. Rosemary was a graduate of Butler High School in Butler, Ohio. She was a homemaker who raised her children and grandchildren. She worked many places, including factories, driving a truck, and cooking in nursing homes. She was a founding member of the Harvest Christian Fellowship in Cambridge. Rosemary was a 4-H advisor for several years and was an avid square dancer. She was devoted to her faith and her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Jacob Boyd; and her step-mother, Evelyn Loxley.
Surviving are her husband, James E. Johnson, whom she married in July of 1992; her children, Brian (Laurie) Henderson of Pittsburgh, Ohio, Dennis (Nancy) Johnson of Bloomington, Illinois, Denise (Chris) Hoffman of Champaign, Illinois, Shirl Spencer of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Brad Henderson of Troy, Brent (Wendy) Henderson of Sarahsville, Blain (Krista) Henderson of Beamsville, and Jeff (Maggie) Johnson and Stephanie (Greg) Moudy, all of Champaign, Illinois; her siblings, R. Max Loxley (Theresa Renaud) of Lebanon, Marilyn (Richard) Rinehart of Arcanum, Kathe (Melvin) Ward of Troy, Gail EuDaley of Amelia, Mark (Pam) Loxley of Madison, and John (Connie) Loxley of Arcanum; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Pastor Brent Belcher officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Faith Baptist Church in Belle Valley to be used for memorial dinners.
