Obituary for Rose M. Dorsey
Rose M. Dorsey, age 73, of Macksburg, Ohio, died Thursday, December 12, 2019, at her home. She was born June 21, 1946, in Zanesville, daughter of the late Robert J. U.and Mae B. Poling Warrick. She tended bar for many years. Rose was a member of the VFW Auxillary in Cambridge and the Belle Valley American Legion Auxilliary. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and going shopping. She loved her dogs and she was devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Everett V. Dorsey, who died in 2006.
She is survived by her children, Denise R. (Irvin) Lamp of Dexter City, Judy L. (Tim) Funk of Hackney, and Dwain Clark and John R. (Tonya) Bettinger, all of Caldwell; her siblings, Robert L. (Linda) Warrick of Pleasant City and Charles E. Warrick and Lela M. (Gene) Haga, all of Caldwell; one aunt, Betty Poling of Marietta; her companion, Gerald Smith of the home; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved yorkie-poo, Pepper.
Friends may call Sunday, December 15, 2019, from 1-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Monday, December 16th at 11AM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Guernsey Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Noble County Ripples Cancer Support Group, P.O. Box 54, Belle Valley, Ohio, 43717.
