Obituary for Rosa Belle Clark
Rosa Belle Clark, age 103, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, January 14, 2008, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born March 4, 1904, in Noble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Kirkbride Bates. She was employed by the former Caldwell Produce, and she was a homemaker and operated a family farm for many years with her late husband. She attended several area Free Methodist churches. She was an avid quilter, and she enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Mrs. Clark was the oldest resident of Noble County, and she lived to see six of her children married for 50 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Little Zedrick Clark, whom she married June 26, 1920, and who died March 1, 1966; one daughter, Mary LuCinda Anderson; one son, John Jacob Clark; one sister, Iva Bertha Bates, and three brothers, Isaac, Jimmy, and Teddy Bates. Surviving are her children, Opal Juanita Leasure of Caldwell, Delbert Berton (Nellie) Clark of Caldwell, James Richard (Nancy) Clark of Caldwell, Zedrick J. (Kay) Clark of Senecaville, Rosa Belle (Paul) King of Caldwell, Joseph Edward (Nancy) Clark of Pleasant City, and William Carl (Marianne) Clark of Belle Valley; 44 grandchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; 107 great-great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call Wednesday, January 16, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Thursday, January 17th at 11AM with Pastor Jimmy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery, Sarahsville.
