Obituary for Ronald Wayne Kisor
Ronald Wayne Kisor, age 61, of Lafayette, Louisiana, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at the home of his brother in Hockingport, Ohio. He had been living with his brother for the past two and one-half weeks due to illness. He was born July 8, 1954, in Athens, Ohio, son of Carolyn Eddy Kisor Eddleblute of Caldwell and the late Charles E. Kisor. He attended school in Caldwell and enlisted in the United States Army in 1972. Ron had spent most of his life in Louisiana, where he was employed as a painter and dry-waller for Venable and Associates in Baton Rouge. He loved cooking, and he was employed by several restaurants in Louisiana. He was especially proud of his grandson and he enjoyed spending time with him.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Glenn Eddleblute; his maternal grandparents, Carroll and Vera Eddy; and his paternal grandparents, Jim Kisor and Glenna Mooney.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his son, Ronald W. (Fallon) Kisor, Jr. of Lafayette, Louisiana; two daughters, Ellie Kisor of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Nicki (Dawn) Stewart of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one grandson, Ayideen Payne Deshotel of Lafayette, Louisiana; one brother, Charles L. (Teresa) Kisor of Hockingport; three sisters, Debra J. Barker, Bonnie S. (Jeff) Haga and Jennifer L. (Jamie) Rucker all of Caldwell; one step-sister, Dixie (Ron) Coleman of Stockport; his best friend and former wife, Debra Deville, and her children, Mitzie Blanchard and Shane Viatar, all of Lafayette, Louisiana; his good friend and employer, Ronnie “Rolo” Venable of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; 5 step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends may call Thursday, October 8, 2015, from 5PM-6:30PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a memorial service will follow visitation at 6:30PM with Pastor Terry Schmelzenbach officiating. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, he has chosen cremation. His family requests memorial contributions can be made to Athens Community Hospice, 30 Herrold Avenue, Athens, Ohio, 45701.
